How do friend lists work now?Д«lizzard is rolling out a major update as part of this switch. If you opt out of cross-play, you wonвЂ™t see friends on your friends list, only your console account friends. To add a friend on your PSN/Xbox/Nintendo account only, youвЂ™ll need to do so through your systemвЂ™s standard social options (hi, Switch friend codes). If you add a friend through Overwatch on console, theyвЂ™ll also be added to your friend list. You can find out more info on a Blizzard support page. Whether other players can see your Real ID (or real name) depends on account settings. Your console username will still appear in some situations, including on top 500 leaderboards and friend lists. When youвЂ™re playing games on console, teammates and opponents will see your Battletag, not your Gamertag, PSN ID or Nintendo Account username. It will still be enabled for console-only games. If youвЂ™re a console player who groups up with someone on PC, aim assist will be disabled by default. That will remain the case in the future if you disable cross-play. In the meantime, PlayStation players will only play ranked matches against other PlayStation players. There wonвЂ™t be any changes to leaderboards or ranked games until Season 28 is over.
